My Favorite Place

The Cabin Photography is something I love dearly, but it gets better with location! My favorite place to take pictures is at my cabin on the lake. I absolutely love the atmosphere of both the people up there and the landmass around me.  The cabin is located in Clitheral MN, on Crane Lake.  (Click for link)  This is a picture I took of my cousin Paige lifting up the minnow bucket after fishing all day! The clouds were absolutely mesmerizing! The picture doesn't even do justice as to how beautiful the sunset is every night up north.  The picture above is a picture of me fishing off one of the docks at the cabin. Even though I didn't take this picture, it still shows how relaxing it is up north and how beautiful the calm lake is in the summer.  The nature and wild life that surrounds the cabin makes close up experiences so much fun. When the weather is cold, fishing with Grandpa is always an option after a quick stop at Bens bait! And

Senior Portrait Favorites

Senior Sessions As a photographer one of my favorite things I get to do is take senior pictures. Since the very beginning I've been so passionate about taking senior portraits and everything that goes with it. I love being able to capture the smiles and outgoing personalities that differ so greatly between individuals. Here's a show down of some of my favorites! Above is a picture of Hannah rocking the summer heat deep in the woods. The tress were so green and beautiful creating the most perfect background for a simple shot.  This next picture of Hannah is a more casual picture that suits her personality perfectly. She loves the outdoors and the freedom it gives her to throw on a cap and explore. Cameron was so fun to photograph! He was always smiling and laughing, which truly brought out is outgoing personality and glowing smile. My favorite part about this photo and this session as a whole, was his contagious laugh! The bright sky and bold greens

Tell Me A Story

“Look!” I called out, as I impulsively dropped my phone to extend my arm and point towards the window, “The flag!” Within just seconds, this became a moment I’ll never forget. Excitement arose inside the fish house after hours of what seemed to be pointless waiting. Earlier that morning we got up in sync with the sun to begin day four of waiting on “THE monster pike,” as my dad would say. We drilled numerous holes, set up multiple tip ups, and eventually, had one big surprise that made everything worth it! Just as the sun peaked through the clouds making for a gorgeous auburn backdrop over the glassy miles of frozen ice, we woke up to the sound of a crack. The ice beneath our fish house shifted causing my whole family to shoot up and instantly become wide-eyed. Truthfully, it was a good thing. We ended up over sleeping and the awakening sound got us up just in time to set up the tip ups! Knowing it was going to be a cold morning I walked right out the door still wearing my fuzzy,

Guest Post: Pictures in your Home

Hi Everyone, This is Lauren from  Hilltop Home Renovation . Today I am going to take over for Hope, who if you haven't noticed takes amazing pictures Although our blogs are not about the same thing, you can apply Hopes blog to mine in one particular way. Through pictures! I personally think that the part I look forward to while renovating a home is the end result. For me that is decorating. Once your home is renovated, the part that almost everyone looks forward to is decorating your home. When you think of decorating your home everyone thinks of furniture; table, chairs, couch ect. Yes, all of these things are the core of the home that makes it comfortable and homey. But what about the walls? Without any pictures or decorations on the walls, they will look bare. (As shown below) Most people think that decorating your home can be difficult and can be costly, but you don't have to do it alone. You can call a professional and get an experts thought or you can do it your se

Reviewing My Camera: Nikon D3100

Hey guys!      So today I'm going to fill you all in about me and my camera. My very first camera was a Nikon, and as of today i still shoot the same brand that I used when i first fell in love with photography. Nikon has been a joy of ups and downs to work with, and overall i love the company. Multiple times previously I have used a canon as well, both in stores trying it out, or outside in an actual session with one of my good friends. After using both a Nikon and a Canon, i'm still here with my pride and possession, the Nikon d3100.      I love the endless possibilities with my camera. As a girl in high school who enjoys photography just as a hobby, this Camera meets all my needs. Its still classified as an entry level Camera, but is still more complex than any canon, allowing the never ending limits. The Nikon d3100 is built around a 14.2 megapixel sensor, allowing not only live view, but full HD video. This within its self allows many possibilities from capturing pictu
