Where it All Started

Hey Everyone!

Lets start with my photography journey, and where it all started. Back in Sixth grade i got my very first camera. A little Nikon cool pix filled my life with happiness as i snapped pictures of the weirdest things and was so proud of the hideous pictures i took. It was about the time in which i was going on a trip to Washington DC. I was so excited to take my new pride and joy with me, and snap pictures of all the memories i was sure i would make. While on this trip i grew to love photography, and began taking pictures with crazy angles and messing with the edits. My friends and i would goof around and take pictures pretending we were holding different monuments. I loved how photography allowed me to get really creative.

That's when i got home and told my mom i wanted a new camera. She thought i was crazy and rolled her eyes at me. I explained how much fun i had taking pictures, but she just brushed it off. That night a started researching photography and all the different cameras out there. This search went on for years. Finally i think i annoyed my mom enough, that she compromised and took me to best buy. That's were i fell in love with the Nikon D3100. At the time this camera ran just under $1,000 dollars. With Christmas coming, my mom threw in 200 bucks. That meant i needed about 800 more dollars. My mom agreed to let me use what was suppose to be my college money, and i purchased my first DSLR. From there photography became my passion, and that's why i'm here today.

Thanks guys, see you back soon for my year in preview!

Tell Me A Story

“Look!” I called out, as I impulsively dropped my phone to extend my arm and point towards the window, “The flag!” Within just seconds, this became a moment I’ll never forget. Excitement arose inside the fish house after hours of what seemed to be pointless waiting. Earlier that morning we got up in sync with the sun to begin day four of waiting on “THE monster pike,” as my dad would say. We drilled numerous holes, set up multiple tip ups, and eventually, had one big surprise that made everything worth it! Just as the sun peaked through the clouds making for a gorgeous auburn backdrop over the glassy miles of frozen ice, we woke up to the sound of a crack. The ice beneath our fish house shifted causing my whole family to shoot up and instantly become wide-eyed. Truthfully, it was a good thing. We ended up over sleeping and the awakening sound got us up just in time to set up the tip ups! Knowing it was going to be a cold morning I walked right out the door still wearing my fuz...
